day 2:

day 3:
get up at 6? even more driving, 1200ish km's later we arrive at alice springs, there's reception there, surprise! eat pizza for tea.
day 4:
visit subaru dealers, car gets its service, meanwhile we walk around Alice springs for half the day, ankle is sore, think it got twisted when dad tried to run me over. Cars done at lunch. Head off to see the east Mac donnell's. coolish and strange, see dingo or 2 and a suicidal cow. go 2 hours off road to see shallow rock carvings that i cant even take a picture of cause the sun is gay. eat tea at steak house, inch thick t-bone, mmmmmmm, steak.....
day 5:
off to see the wizard the err, i means the west mac donnell ranges, lots of stops. climb a hill, be within 9 feet of a wild endangered species.
day 6:
to yullara we go! yesss... the olgas are fat big and red, they look very unnatural really, plus there are too many american tourists, gah. and saw teh rock, it was very rockish. also reception again, double surprise. find out have to pay gst on camera, customs and our government are fat and gay.
day 7:
got up for sunset at the rock, it glowed red, but it was bloody cold, not for long tho! mmmm, hot weather!!! weeeee!!!!! its like summer, woot. i slept mostly, or dozed in the sun neway. didnt climb the rock, lying in the sun sounded like more fun.
day 8:

day 9:
up at 6, gone by 6:30. south we head, 1350 uneventful kms later we get back to port augusta. oh passed glendambo "population: sheep-20000 flies-20000000 people-30"

day 14:
drive down to wilsons promontory or "the prom" as they apparently affectionately call it. get mobbed by savage parrots who steal all our food forcing us to chew on my now gangrenous foot to gain enough nourishment to escape. end up at philip island, has reception yay, oh yeah, we go see the penguins, 3 of the fat lil things tripped over the one piece of seaweed, huzzah! made it worthwhile :P
